Hi Ron,
Chuck Dachis's book shows the Hallicrafters ST-83 and it is very
similar to the Radio Craftsmen 10 and RC-10. I'd like to see the top
view of the ST-83 to compare their layout. They have similar but not
exact tube complements too. In all of the Radio Craftsmen
advertisements and other information, I have not seen any reference to
Hallicrafters producing the RC-10 or 10 models under their name.
I have one model 10 and three model RC-10s. They all play very
well. Sensitive receivers and clean audio output. They are pretty too.
I got interested in them about a year ago and have been restoring them
(mostly the amplifiers) and may, one of these days, try to sell some of
them on ebay.
I'll send you the two RC 10 publications I have (each has 4 pages -
alignment, schematic, parts list, etc.).
I have 10 other publications on Radio Craftsmen units if you ever
need something else.
