[Hallicrafters] Blooming meters

No joke.  The original meter cases have an odd habit of splitting 
axially and the effect is similar to blooming.  Be happy you do not have 
personal experience with this phenomenon.

I have a friend with a background in metallurgy, I'll ask him if he can 
explain why this happens.
