[Hallicrafters] Power transformer temperatures

I totally agree Ed... and one of my next projects will be to take the 5VAC 
(or so) 35A transformer I've had sitting around for years, and wire it to 
buck my entire station's AC line. I DO have a variac I could use, but that 
transformer hasn't done anything ever, and has been sitting there for more 
than 15 years. What I stay with will depend on what the net result of the 
drop is on the plate& FIL voltages on my EFJ Ranger II. I figure it's as 
good a choice as any for a sort-of-standard.
