[Hallicrafters] cleaning sand???

Hello group...

Just picked up a nice 60's vintage receiver (sorry, not Halli, but this is
where the refurb talent is!). It's in pretty good cosmetic shape except the
thing must have been buried on the beach...it is full of sand! I have used
an aircompressor to blow out all that was accessible, but flipping switches,
turning knobs, even feeling the chassis, you can hear/feel the fine grit of
sand.

Any suggestions how to further clean this beast?
