First of all, PLEASE turn off your caps lock!  It is
dfficult to read your messages in all capitals!  Use
normal capitalization and punctuation.

Now, what you need to look for is loose hardware like
the screws that hold the tube sockets in place, the
barrier strips, etc.  What happens over the years is
that these work slightly loose and get minute bits of
corrosion.  Take a screwdrive and tighten every screw
that you can find (except, of course those involved
with alignment!).  This technique has worked on
hundreds of the older receivers to get rid of
motorboating, oscillations, etc.  Also, take a
nutdriver and tighten the nuts that hold the shields
over the i.f. cans, etc., in place.  Basically, you
want to make sure that everything in the set is
properly grounded.
