[Hallicrafters] Saturday HCI 40 Meter Net Reminder

It may, or may not, be storming at the appointed hour for the HCI Saturday
September 14th 40 meter Net. Provided the lightning is doing the Limbo Rock with
my IAC 40 meter double bazooka, I will be on the air at 12:30 PM EDT, (1630
UTC). If you do not remember the Limbo Rock from the sixties, check out Chubby
Checker (Not the Cab company!) on the Internet. He is the guy who made
Chiropractors rich by creating tens of thousands of patients for them courtesy
of the song 'The Twist' and resultant dance craze. It had more directional moves
than a belly dancer with the hiccups!	
	
The Net proper will commence at 1:00 PM EDT, (1700 UTC). If you hear what sounds
like a tug boat fog horn in my background, no, the Net is not portable on the
shores of Lake Huron. My older grandson Brandon occasionally forgets that
Grandpa is on the air and serenades me, and most of the neighborhood within 100
yards, with a belch that sounds like a large tug boat is towing my home out to
sea! He has been known to set off motion detectors five houses away in either
direction! Never mind, my error. That was the intestinal boom box, not the oral
cavity carbonated gas powered pipe organ.		
	
The frequency will be 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
sound of the State Police bomb squad sirens whaling like a teenage girl who just
woke up, looked in the mirror and discovered a zit that looked like a NRA target
practice bulls eye smack between her eyebrows! 	
	
I hope to hear some of you tomorrow through the propagation that goes up and
down like recent stock market prices. If you are on the east coast, the band
seems to sink right down into the sewer of unintelligibility about 1645 UTC. So
get there early, if possible.
