[Hallicrafters] Close Copy Of S-38 By Trio?

I was fortunate to come across a Trio 9R-42J Receiver that is in near 
perfect condition. It appears to be a Hallicrafters S-38 clone but 
incorporates a few extra features, including an S-meter. I found some info 
on a Japanese site that indicated it was manufactured in 1958. Anyone else 
on your Hallicrafters site have more info?
