Greetings devotees of hot tungsten:
Got a nice set of Kenwood Twins R/T 599D. They lookin good and
workin good, got a couple of those Japanese 6146s (fed by a 12BY7) in
the otherwise all solidstate circuits. I see this format as the last
commercial gasp of the boatanchors. Only beauty item I need to finish
the restore job is a couple of the little plastic insert dingers that
hold the top lid down. They are about 1/2 inch long, and about 3/16 in
diameter. One part clicks down into the lid hole. There is a little
plunger in the doo-dad, when plunger is up one can raise the lid, and
plunger down locks the lid down. Made out of black nylon-looking
plastic. I haven’t tried Kenwood on the hypothesis that they have never
answered me before on stuff like this.
Would be nice once and fer all to find the nomenclature and a source
for these whatchamacallits, so I am asking the experts. Would it be
something like
1 each xyuoi-34890cd LID MANAGEMENT FIXTURE/bl nylon, metric hole
