In my continuing quest toward VLF,(actually 160
meters) for the HT-4/BC-610, I am looking for a 100
mmf
cap. I have lots of the 50mmf @ 20 kv if a trade is
possible....

FWIW: With the lack of tuning units for the low end, I
drive the HT-4/BC-610 from my Kenwood 570 through an
MFJ antenna tuner. Drive requirements from ~20 to 40
Watts depending on band. The tuner is connected to the
coupling cap on the 807 side of the 250TH grid
circuit. The exciter rectifier and TU are removed for
this test.

As per some members thoughts, a link coupled, tuned
input method is likely the way this will end up in the
long run....Maybe with a bit of swamping to widen out
the bandwidth??
