  To the list,
I want to thank all those who emailed me early this week on the SX-28 parts
rig. I had a lot of requests or better said scoldings for keeping it together
for restoration. I also had a lot of requests for antenna posts, audio
trannys, power trannys and covers/ cabinets knobs and "dial brakes" The dial
brakes win the request line! (what is it with them?)
I will therefore offer it as a whole as it does seem a shame to chop it up.
Oh by the way it is working! I did for the first time put a power plug on it
and did plug it in. I variaced up the power slowly to see for a gent who
asked.
It is a partial refurb. Lots of the chassis was cleaned and lubed. The power
supply caps were done a while back by someone other than myself. I am not an
expert but wanted to give the refurb game a try. I'm just out of time and
that is why I offered it as parts. So here goes.

Missing:
Top RF cover and knurled knobs
dial brake clip
antenna post is broken/missing
bandspread/pointer string is off-missing
bottom cover

Has a replaced power tranny..(no Hali cover)
Has a real nice front panel and the knobs/glass/bezels look good
Selectivity knob has small dent in the skirt and some bakelite is
cracked/missing around the skirt on the phase knob
Has an aftermarket- Halicrafters?- RF pre-amp kit installed and seems to be
working (tube is lit)

I will sell it with or without the cabinet as some asked for the whole radio
but not the cabinet? Someone else might need just that,,,

I did entertain an offer for 200 without the cabinet. I think around that
is fair as I paid 350 for it a few years back when the prices were up... I'm
not running an auction here so I will ask for 225.00 without cabinet, 300.00
with it and see what we come up with. I have a discount with the shippers so
I can help on the shipping end of it. I have nice pics of it now if
needed.....Thanks again!

Paul
