[Hallicrafters] SX-28 Aircraft version?

Some friends of mine and I were talking over boatanchors when Phil said he 
thought he remembered a version of the SX-28 built for aircraft 
service.  He thought the dial was on the end of the radio instead of the front.

Anyone ever run across something like this?  Now we are curious......
