Hello,
Several of you have inquired about the H-8 receiver manual I posted. Upon
further inspection I find that I actually have two manuals (both missing
front cover, if it came with a cover). I looked the H-8 up in Chuck Dachis's
book and one shows up on page 141, but that is definitely NOT this receiver.
The schematic of this receiver was drawn by R.J. H. and calls the schematic,
model H8. The operating instructions say: H-8 (ECS) H8PA across the top. It
has 3 band ranges. Band 1 is .54-1770 KC. Band 2 is 1.6 MC-5.4 MC Band 3
is 5.7 MC-17 MC. Date code on the manuals is 021137-8. Tube line-up is 6K6,
6A7, 6K&, 75, 6B5, 6G5, 6K7, 80. Although there is no photo, the line
drawing shows the following controls sticking out of the front panel. High
Fidelity switch, Band Change, Tuning, Volume, Tone/ AC switch. On the side
is a BFO switch. One of these manuals was stapled to the HT-7 frequency
standard manual, so maybe they are related.
Can anyone identify this receiver?
Thanks,
Craig
