[Hallicrafters] SX-100mkIIA Bandspread cable

While working on my SX-100 last night I noticed that the Bandspread dial
cord was not the usual cloth covered cord, but in fact very fine wire. I
think it's like miniature wire rope. Fortunately mine is not broken, but I
wonder what people use to replace it with if it does break? The parts list
refers to it as "cable".
I hope I am not inviting the dial cord gods to strike by asking this
question!
