The finally got the SR-2000 all hooked up and the intermittent is worse.
You can wiggle the low voltage plug on the back of the SR-2000 (from the
power supply) and the transceiver clicks. I plugged in headphones and got
signals on 20 but nothing in the speaker. I checked all tubes in the
transceiver
and they seem OK.

Several told me the cabling went bad on them so has the trouble been in the
jack on the back of the transceiver or in the plug from the PS-2000? It
looks like the plug from the power supply has been repaired. I plan on
going into the PS-2000 and check it next. I did test the high voltage and
it reads 1KV on low and just below 2K on high. Is this right? I will hook
up another volt meter to check. I remember that the Heath SB220 often had a
problem with the shunt in the meter. One I looked at only read 700V instead
of 2500!

I looked over the SR-2000 and the only mod I see is a strereo jack rather
than the original amphenol M2FD connector.
