I used to love mashed potatoes. However, after eating them for three days as my
primary food source, I am about ready to form them into little balls and start
flinging them at passing cars. Oral surgery does odd things to the mind, maybe
it is the drugs they put in your mouth or the money that sucktion hose things
sucks out of your wallet while you lie there restrained with two huge hands
shoved in your mouth. I am lighter, leaner, meaner. (Sounds like Dr. Golden's
NASA slogan!) Nonetheless, the Sunday HCI 20 meter Net will be held rain or
shine, snow or sleet and other precipitants. It is 31 degrees Fahrenheit outside
and some snow flakes are falling!

The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC), with a computer generated
rendition of 'Taps' for my dearly departed molar. I will try not to sound like
Humpfrey Bogart talking out of one side of my mouth while biting on a gauze pad
with the other. The Net proper, will begin at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC).

The frequency will be 14.293 Mhz usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
sound of mashed potato balls splatting onto the Ham Shack walls as I fling food
at passing dust bunnies.

There will be a brief report on the Dayton Hamvention, including, but not
limited to, some equipment prices seen by trained spotters. And yes, it rained
again there!

I hope to hear many of you today. Come prepared to talk much, so I do not have
to. It is your golden opportunity to out talk me, not an easy thing to do!
