BC 929 scope and the Rebecca Eureka system

Roy,
No, I do not think they are the same. The RT 1 was both a transmitter
and receiver while the RT 1B was a transmitter only.
See Pete McCollums web site for more information.
I have never seen even a picture of the RT 1 which was part of the
Rebecca- Eureka system. I assume that it looked much like other WWII A/C
radios, a black box with connections for both receiving antenna, the
transmitting antenna, power connector and a remote control unit.
The Eureka ground set, as built by the British was in two square boxes
and are quite rare items. The American version was used mostly by
airborne pathfinder units and was a single box like unit.
The RT 1 B was, I think developed by the CIA and came along during the
1950s, which makes it post war. Pete McCollums web site shows it.
