[Hallicrafters] FPM-300 MKII

I have an SX100 that is getting back in shape and I would like to look for a transmitter to go along with the 100. Can anyone suggest a good one for this. I'm just a beginner and not quite sure to look for. Would a FPM 300MKII be a good choice???
