Pulling the 8122s and applying the voltages sounds like a good place to
start.
If the voltages are OK with the tubes pulled (be carerful), and that
parasitic choke is OK..then it could get interesting.
Hallicrafters ended up with a bunch of bad ceramic bypass and coupling caps
(all the same size and value).
There isn't all that much that can go wrong with a circuit using a pair of
tetrodes...But then again...<sigh>
