It's almost impossible to set a price on something like the FPM200.
Some think it easy, but if it sells too quickly, you will for ever more,
think you set it too low. If it doesn't sell, you'll think it was set
too high, when in reality there just may not have been any one
interested. Going to e-bay will give you the largest audience.
Those who think prices go too high on e-bay should remember there are
two classes of bidders. Those who think of old ham gear as, well...old
ham gear, while others collect the stuff. The two are worlds apart in
what they are willing to pay.
The FPM200 is a very rare rig, whether it works or not. As far as
working, they didn't work all that well when they were new. Its
performance was not the crowning glory of achievement for Hallicrafters.
The original rig was expensive for its day and did not perform as well
as other less complicated rigs of the day...but it was the first solid
state, dual VFO (as I recall), mobile rig and that should push the rice
way up, if it is in good mechanical shape.
