While we're at it ... here's another one and it's in play right now.
There's an SP-600 on it's way to me, well, anyway it's trying.
Overall UPS has been pretty good to me. Heaven knows I paid them enough.
Delivery timing has been right on schedule in 99% of the cases, but this
one is a duesy.
This SP-600 was shipped Friday before last and should have arrived last
Friday -- one week coast to coast. However, early on it didn't look so
good. The shipment (from Anaheim) was routed through Syracuse -- out of
the way for a NYC metro destination. Most shipments come to me by way of
the Meadowlands or Parsippany NJ.
So that added 1 day delay -- 3 with the weekend. As of Friday it finally
reached Parsippany -- that's the good news and in place for a Monday
delivery. Bad news is that 45 minutes later it was on a trailer bound
for Jacksonville FL and that's where it's going as you read this. I
first noticed the misrouting about 3 hrs after it happened, but it
wouldn't have helped even if I saw it 2 minutes later. Can't be turned
around until it gets to Jacksonville first.
Had a shipment disappear for a month once. But other than that, they've
been OK.
