[Hallicrafters] FW: SX-71/S-40A Question

Sounds like dirty/corroded brass wipers on the vari-caps.  Try a little 
proGold or Deoxit type spray on it.  They get this way sitting unused for 
awhile.  Best to send them to me and let me 'use' them....
