I would like to apologize to the stations who checked in today and may think
they were forgotten or overlooked. All were called by myself, and several
stations who tried to assist with relay work. The propagation simply went away
and we could not get any response from you. Specifically; KD9MF and K9TR, both
in Illinois. There were several others also.
It is just as frustrating for the Net Controller to hear stations and then not
be able to raise them when their turn comes in the rotation as it is to be
sitting there waiting your turn and thinking you were never called. I do the
best I possibly can with three different antenna systems, switching between
vertical and horizontal polarization and using various filters and receive
pre-amps. Sometimes it all means nothing, as the band simply rolls over and
plays dead.
Thank you for checking in. You are appreciated and valued. Hopefully I will be
able to talk with you the next time.
