My special thanks to Bob N0DGN for checking into the Saturday 40 meter Net with
his Hallicrafters BC-610 tx. Now if ever there was a rig that spelled out
"RADIO" to the totally radio unenlightened, the 390 pound BC-610 would ge it.
Although it sounded good on LSB, I switched over to AM and it sounded terrific!
Made me inspired to put one on my Christmas 2002 'Please Dear Santa Claus' list.
Bet that makes a little thud when it comes down the old brick chimney, heh?
Quoting Bob:
Duane, It was a pleasure to be able to check in and have a short QSO with
you, especially with the BC-610. It is a Hallicrafters manufacture BC-610(I) of
the 1952 contract, with the BC-614(E). I'm glad to hear good signal
reports! It has been lovingly restored to original state and has NO
modifications. The microphone is an un-amplified D-104. Thanks again! Bob
