[Hallicrafters] How many FPM-200 manufactured ???

Hi:
About a year ago I inquired via this list as to the rarity and worth
of an Hallicrafters FPM-200 that I had acquired.

I got a number of replies as to the number manufactured:
The low number was 70 as listed in one of the reference books.
About 200 from someone else.
Less than 1000 from a third reply.

As to price:
First the usual bunch of "Not rare at all, but I'll give you $100 to
$200 as is".
Highest offer was $800 as is sight unseen !!!
One reply stated that new they sold for about $2000.
Another reply stated "The one (the only one) I saw on ebay went for
over $1,400 and it wasn't particularly beautiful".
Many thought that I should be able to get $2000 plus for it.

I still have the rig and will be watching EBAY to see what the current
one goes for.  I don't really want to go the EBAY route, but would like
to get the max $$$ for the rig.

Can anyone expand and/or update the numbers ???
