Please join us on Wednesday January 30th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International Global Glow roundtable. It will commence at 7:00 PM EST, (0000
UTC). For those who care to show up earlier for some extra resistor gnawing, I
will be on the air at 6:30 PM EST, (2330 UTC). The frequency is 14.315 Mhz usb
and the back up is 14.322 Mhz usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and
brainless babbling from down below.
I have had good results on 14.328 Mhz usb in our time frame. Perhaps a move to
it as the primary frequency would be advantageous? Is anyone aware of activities
on that frequency, of either side of it, from 0000-0130 UTC on Wednesday?
As much as I do not want to do this, I am going to have to drop one Net. It will
either be Wednesday evening or Saturday afternoon. My requests for somebody to
assist have gone unanswered. I can not continue to do them all, all of the time.
If the reason nobody volunteers to help is me, that is not a problem. I will
resign and somebody else can do these Nets. It will not hurt my feelings to step
down. This is not an ego thing for me, it is one heck of a lot of work. If
somebody else would like to take the Nets, go for it!
I hope to hear a good number of you tomorrow evening. BTW: The NOAA is giving us
our first "Winter Storm Watch" of the season for Wednesday evening and Thursday
morning. So Frogzilla may be busy with the Korean conflict flame thrower keeping
the vertical icicle free. Be sure to check the HCI web site for new things,
updates to different areas take place daily and weekly.
