Dear Gary;
No Joke. I was restoring my sx-100 and replacing a cap. I took some new
old stock never been used caps out of the box and tested them. I found
several that were bad just sitting there. Used some orange drops insted.
I bet the quality control was bad and these were never any good. 
That and poor materials is why the fail so easy. better to use new
componets and have peace of mind.
