Jack - Gary does mean SX-112, not SX-122. The SX-122 is a totally
different receiver. I believe the SX-112 was supposed to be something
between an SX-101 and an SX-115. I remember seeing this in
publications/brochures but it was never introduced. My dad worked at
Hallicrafters in the early 1960's and used to come home with lot's of
literature.
