Subject: [Hallicrafters] SR-2000 Assistance Requested
K9JLT asks:
1. Is the fan on the SR-2000 supposed to come on as soon as the transciever
is
powered up or does it only come on as a temperature increase is sensed?
2. While listening to NHK Radio Japan on a 40 meter frequency, if I switch
the
band selector to a different band, such as 20 or 80 meters, and do not
change
the main tuning knob at all, I still hear NHK. Why is this?
3. When listening to some of the four ten meter band selections, I hear
distortion on the voice signals. I do not hear this on other bands. Any
ideas as
to why?
Send replies to the list, please. Thank you.
