Relax John:
Some things people just won't part with.  It's part of the "Way it is" in radio
collecting.  Consider this: when you do find your radio, you have 3 potential
sources of information on it.  I just got turned down on my request to purchase
a rare prescaler chip for my dead frequency counter.  Hey, it happens.
One thing I do know that seems to work it to offer someone something that is
more "desireable" to them than what they are about to part with.  Surprisingly,
lots of people trade on these reflectors.
