I have only been a member of the Hallicrafters list a short time. I admit, I
joined for selfish reasons, as I am looking for an HT-18 VFO/Exciter.

Anyway, maybe it's an initiation rite, or something, but I have sent a WTB
HT-18 message twice. I have had 3 replies, every one of which said, in
effect, "I have one of those up in the attic, but I don't want to sell it."

So why tell me about it if you don't want to sell it? Am I just supposed to
feel badly I can't buy it? Or, am I supposed to offer $1000, and my
granddaughter's virginity?
