Please join me on Saturday February 23rd for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International 40 meter Net. It will commence at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC) on a
frequency of 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the sound of my
grandson trying to burp his way through the alphabet! The kid has more gas than
a vintage tube!

Hopefully the propagation will be decent, just for the sake of variety, this
time. Once we had four SR-2000 transcievers operating during the Saturday Net,
and a fifth one that almost made it on the air. But the station operator, Sonny
WA9KXQ, dozed off while waiting for it to warm up and didn't awaken until it was
time for the Sunday Net. So let's see if tomorrow five of you lucky owners can
get those SR-2000's cooking and show us how a 'real' radio is supposed to
sound/perform.

I am feeling much better. Thanks to all for the well wishes. Food poisoning is
not a good thing to have, especially in conjunction with an intestinal virus.
Stop fretting, it looks as if I will live, so one of you won't have to take over
the Net! (grin)

Lots of interesting news items to report. Join us on Saturday to find out what
they are. A hint: If it glows in the dark, but you want it to shine in the
light, then color it gray, but which grey is right?

I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, (actually later today, now!), so be there
and bring a story to share and a tale to tell.
