[Hallicrafters] S-38B knob and cord

Hi Kees & gang:
Antique Electronic Supply lists a brown nonpolarized "5/16 inch" cheater
cord for $1.50. The photo shows the ears, but it's a side view and I
can't see if there are mounting holes in them -- I would guess there are.
I guess the 5/16's is one of the dimensions of the equipment end --
they're 6 ft. long. The also have the clips. Cat. number is S-W105.
They also have the clips if you want to mount it that way.
Radio Shack has a number of replacement appliance cords in-store, but I
don't recall any with the ears -- mostly shaver types, but some with
bigger ends, polarized and non-polarized.
For those of you who forgot, a "cheater cord" is a loose TV line cord
used for powering up a TV under test when the back was off and the
captive cord was automatically detached as a safety measure, when people
used to replace their own tubes.
