Ray,
There is a government process to collect data on causes of death. I have
no idea what it is or how to contact them. The word "morbidity" is in the
name of the resulting database(s).
There is a weekly publication called "Morbidity & Mortality Weekly
Report" the folks who publish it may well have such databases. Start at
the Centers for Disease Control to find it.
There is at least one professional organization with the word "Actuarials"
in their name. They are professionals in the art and science of predicting
death among people. Find them and ask your question.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission may well steer you to the right data.

I suggest you spend a few minutes with your favorite web search engine.
If you don't have a favorite, use www.google.com
Good luck
Roy
