The ads said up to 10 watts INPUT!  The 50L6 is quite
similar to the 6L6 and you can definitely get over 10
watts out of a 6L6 if you put enough plate voltage on it!
The 50L6 is basically a 6V6; 10 watts input is about it...

 Sorry, you are mistaken.  A 50L6 is NOT equivalent to a 6L6, or to a
6V6.  It is a beam power pentode, but there the similarity ends.
A50L6GT (25L6GT) is about a 200V 10W tube.  An essentially similar tube
is the 50C5, the miniature successor.
