Jim:
Tom Guntzel, KE0KB, used to do just that. I bought a nice repro of an ad from
National Geographic, the famous "Out of the Attic" ad from WW2, showing a ham in
his attic before the war, and the verbiage talks about hams' ongoing
contributions to the war effort. The bottom of the ad has the Hallicrafters
wartime logo--a tactical vehicle setup with generator trailer, and flag that
companies were awarded in WW2 for supporting the war effort (the logo is
anmiated and featured at the bottom of most of the HCI web pages at
http://www.w9wze.org). I had it framed and it looks great here in the
shack/den/bedroom/too-small-area-that-my-wife-has-relegated-me-and-my-boatanchors
-to.
I haven't heard from Tom in a while, but his web site still lists the printing
service:

While working in my workshop today, I thought it would be nice to have a
couple of old Hallicrafter ads framed and on the wall, in particular for
a couple of radios that I have.
Did Hallicrafter ever put out full colour ads that would have been
suitable for framing? And if they did, realizing it they would be very
difficult to obtain an original, has anyone thought of taking one and
having it reproduced so that it would be suitable for framing?
Might be a nice project.
Jim
