This reminds me of a story related by a former President of Earlham
College. He told me that he was once waiting for a train when he saw a
man carrying a very large crate on his back. As the man approached, he
was able to read the inscription on the box. It said: "Carry bottom
side up. Top has been labeled bottom to avoid confusion."
