[Hallicrafters] Converter for SX-101A?

Thanks for your comments and information, Pete. using the 28 MHz band and
tuning the bottom two MHz of 6 and 2 would obviously be the way to go. I
had been curious about the availability of converters, but after a little
reflection realized I don't have a big interest in listening to 6 and 2
meter SSB, etc.

What's more interesting would be to put together a converter for a SWBC band
or two and maybe a maritime band. Has anyone tried that?

The SX-101A arrived this evening. It's in need of some cleaning and
lubricating but seems to be in good condition except for some ratty looking
knobs and a non-Hallicrafters case. Blemishes aside, it's remarkably stable
and tunes very nicely.
