[Hallicrafters] S-38 Transformers

I have an S-38 (no#) that I need to replace several IF transformers.  The IF
transformers part numbers are:  50C183 and 50B184. Could someone tell me if
these IF transformers can be replaced with later parts, e.g.. 50C183F and
50C184F.  Also someone has offer me S-38E for parts. Any comments on the
S-38E also.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I want to thank all of you for the help
