[Hallicrafters] How to ID an SX-62a

My SX-62A says SX-62 A directly above the "pointer reset" knob. The chassis
is stamped in ink mark 2 A. There is a paper tag saying "The Hallicrafters
Company Radio receiver SX-62A" on the rear just between the antenna strip
and the octal plug.

I also bought mine on Ebay recently and brought it up on a variac because I
have no way of knowing how recently it has operated.

No hum to speak of and audio worth hooking up to a decent speaker. Also
reasonable sensitivity and only one small pinhole in the glass dial with no
signs of separation.

It hasn't gone by the bench for extra cleaning and checkout and still has
the original caps. If its on I don't leave it unattended.

I bought a reprint manual (Ebay again) that says it is for the 62A but I
haven't crosschecked the radio with the manual.

I think you'll enjoy having it in your shack.
