[Hallicrafters] Coax Switch ?

Michael - Interesting question. I have three coax switches that switch between
two desks, six rigs and three antennas. One is a old B&W six position switch,
which has the three antennas coming in on it (three more for future use). The
common of the B&W is hooked by a double male to the round Heathkit coax switch.
This switch has the "vintage" desk on it and three other rigs on my "modern"
desk. The coax that goes to my vintage desk, is hooked to the common of a MFJ
six position switch which has my three vintage rigs hooked to it. So by
throwing two switches can select antennas & three rigs on one desk; by throwing
one more on the vintage desk I can select the antenna, another desk, then up to
one of three vintage radios. There is not "total" isolation between rigs, but
since I only have one with transmit power on at a time it's not a great issue
with me. There is some feed thru among positions.....but nothing that I cannot
live with. As to which switch is best...good...etc. I think the MFJ is the
best among the three I have...but it's really a matter of what I found at flea
markets. Hope this helps.

What types are good in your experience? Diawa ? Alpha-Delta ? I have both of
these but have only used them in my SWL station.
