Hi to All:

I have an S-38 that I am restoring.  I've got it working after replacing a
lot of it.  I am having a problem with the main tuning capacitor.  About
half way through the sweep the receiver goes dead.  The capacitor is a
double gang variable.  Half of the capacitor shows a direct short the other
half shows open. Has anyone experience the receiver going dead half way
through the sweep?  HELP
