[Hallicrafters] Global Glow Wednesday Evening

Remember to light up the charcoal, grill that burger and then munch as you enjoy
the golden glow of those wonderous Hallicrafters that still go glow in the dark.
But don't do the charcoaling on top of the Halli!  	
	
Join us on Wednesday August 14th for the HCI: Hallicrafters Collectors
International 20 meter Global Glow round table. The pre-Net begins at 7:00 PM
EDT, (2300 UTC) and the round table proper at 8:00 PM EDT, (0000 UTC). The
frequency will be 14.315 Mhz usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the sound
of gigantic Mosquitoes thundering through the Ham Shack like B-52's doing touch
and go landing practice. Since it rained here, and the Miracle Grow kicked in,
even the blood sucking needle nosed Malaria factories have been growing like
weeds! A Fly swatter is useless against them, they think it is a back scratcher,
but a 20 MM cannon tends to make large holes in my roof through which low flying
Crows tend to drop loads of fertilizer. Besides bleaching the color out of the
carpet, it causes the dust mites to get hair on their chests and a low voice.   
   	
	
I hope that the propagation is a little shorter this Wednesday, as last week I
had a great copy on anybody transmitting from the moons circling Jupiter, but
Mars was not audible. Ya gotta talk to those Martians or they get red faced
angry and refuse to do a War Of The Worlds reenactment for Haloween. I hope to
hear some of you earthlings tomorrow evening. If you are operating portable from
a UFO, remember to precede your call sign with the chemical formula for swamp
gas.
