[Hallicrafters] pm-23 grill restoration

I have restored a couple PM-23 speakers.  I had the grill bead-blasted and
then I painted the grill with a primer and then a "pewter" enamel.  Came out
very nice.

Just acquired a PM-23 speaker in need of restoration. I know its not
original but I'm considering having the grill chrome plated. Has anyone
tried this? happy with the results? I think it would look very nice.
