[Hallicrafters] Light Them Up For The Global Glow!

Remember to fire up those vintage Hallicrafters Wednesday evening for the April
24th Hallicrafters Collectors International Global Glow roundtable. Get those
gerbils running extra early on that little treadmill that turns the power
transfer shaft on the gear reduction box that cranks the generator that powers
the rigs. I find that feeding them a blend of Kennel Biscuit, cat nip and some
ground up caffeine tablets gets them running like a Cat with asputtering
sparkler tied to its tail!  Those vintage rigs take lot sof power, so warm up
the gerbils early.  	
	
I will be on the air at 7:00 PM EDT, (2300 UTC), for the pre-Net. The HCI Global
Glow officially commences at 8:00 PM EDT, (0000 UTC). The frequency will be
14.315 Mhz usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the sound of the ASPCA
trying to batter down my Ham Shack door with a battering ram! The back up
frequencies are 14.322 and 14.328 Mhz usb.   	
	
Last week I spent two hours calling CQ and listening to the dead zone. I hope
there is some propagation tomorrow evening, as I just hate keying the mike and
having the neighbor's garage door go up and down for nothing. Now if I could get
that booming stereo in the teenage kid's car that goes by and shakes the dead
flies out of the cob webs to blow up, it would be worth it!
