IRLP

Ham Radio Class

San Jose Prepared is sponsoring a Technician Amateur Radio Class.   This
class will be held on two consecutive Saturdays, September 20th and 27th,
from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  The class will be held at the San Jose Police
MERGE classroom, on the North West Corner of West Mission and North San
Pedro streets.  The cost of the class is $35.00, and includes the book : Now
You�re Talking 5th edition, handouts,  over 12 hours of instruction and some
light refreshments.  The cost does NOT include the cost of the test you�re
your Lunch.  There is a separate cost of $12.00 to be given to the Volunteer
Examiner Coordinators (VEC�s) when you take the test.  I typically walk two
blocks to Togo�s for lunch.  The first day class starts at 8:30 AM , and
ends at 5:00 PM. The second day of class starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:00
PM, so you can go next door and take the test.  Both days the class starts
promptly at 8:30 AM, so be sure to leave enough time to arrive and park.
The days and times of the class ONLY, you may park across the street from
the Police Administration Building and Police Garage in lot �C�  at no cost,
and without being ticketed.  Other days and times this lot is restricted and
vigorously enforced, with cars being ticketed.
