[GVARC] GVARC Field Day next week

Hi all,

Today Don, Lou and I checked out the field day site and got the trailer
loaded and ready for next weekend.  Next Friday, we plan to start
preparation for field day with breakfast at 9am at the Mission cafe in San
Juan Bautista. After that we'll head for the hill top on Fremont Peak.  You
are all welcome to come and join us any time you can.  We want to see if we
can get things all going well at the beginning of the contest this year.  We
will have 3 HF stations with new filters keeping adjacent station
interference down and 3 dipoles up in the trees.  Don did repairs on the AC
power meter assembly and the 2-meter cross arm assembly. We are planning to
have 2 meters and 6 meters going this year. I'll bring my Mr. Coffee maker
and some coffee for everyone. For food and shelter, bring your own!  There
is room for tents and RVs!
