Hi all,

At the last club meeting it was suggested that I give everyone a listing of
the voice menu system words that have been set into the repeater. Here they
are. Any suggestions are welcome.

Let me know what you think.

"The W6GGF repeater is located at 900 feet elevation on the east side of the
south valley. It is owned and operated by the Garlic Valley Amateur Radio
Club, a nonprofit organization that serves the amateur community of South
Santa Clara Valley area.
W6GGF supports emergency communications for south Santa Clara Valley. An
Amateur Radio Emergency Services net convenes each Tuesday at 7:30 PM, local
time. Visitors are always welcome. In the event that W6GGF is unavailable,
the Morgan Hill simplex frequency will be 144.345. Thats 144.345. The
Gilroy simplex frequency will be 144.450. That's 144.450."

03 Menu

"The W6GGF voice mail system supports public and private mail. All mail is
readable by everyone, however, so these words are used to just designate how
messages are stored. Public mail is stored in a common mailbox that can hold
up to 9 messages total. Private mail is stored by autodial slot. A single
message is limited to a maximum of 30 seconds in length.
To check the public mailbox contents, enter 82. The repeater plays back the
recorded addressee for each message in the mailbox. Count them as they are
played so you can select one particular message by its order in the list. To
listen to a particular message, enter 83 followed by the sequence number of
the message. For example, to read the third public mailbox message listed,
enter 833.
To record a public mailbox message, enter 81 and <<un-key>>. The repeater
will ask you who the message is for. Key-up and just say the name or call of
the person and un-key. You will then be prompted to record the message.
After a short pause, the repeater will confirm that the message was stored.
After reading a particular public mailbox message, immediately entering 84
causes that message to be erased. All other public messages are retained.
After a short pause, the repeater will confirm that the message has been
erased. Note that the messages following the one erased will have a sequence
numbers that are now 1 number less."
