Folks:

N6IJ is available for integration into the upcoming Simulated Emergency Test
(SET) activities of your organization or group. Local and regional ARRL
officials have stated that they don't see the utility of of the site for
ARES sponosored activities, surprising as that may seem. Whatever.. we
historically, in previous SETs, have exercised our unique capabilities, that
of long range connectivity, and highly integrated communications hardware,
both analog and digital modes, at a single site. So we have to get the word
out to more open minded folks....We can have a cadre of highly seasoned
radio operators on hand, at our multi-station site, and, to add realism, of
a multi transmitter environment, have a contest going the same weekend.
(Cal QSO party, where N6IJ will be used as a station in a record attempt for
that contest, from Monterey County.) We welcome hands-on participation for
SET activities by radio amateurs wishing to do so..Let us show how we can,
in addition to the usual, mundane, VHF and UHF short range, fixed, and
shack-on-the-belt chatter, leap the continent, or the ocean with our unique
capabilities to wherever you want to reach for YOUR Exceptional SET
Scenario. We can even deliver email via HF to internet, or use Echolink to
send that SET message to Slovenia, or wherever.......We can even operate on
backup generator power, at KW output levels, if that is part of the plan.
We will have press and media on hand, and will have stories done locally on
our activities, whether the Cal QSO party, or SET....Dial us in....Marina
Amateur Radio Contest Station is at your service, here at 599 DX Drive....
