Folks:


I just saw a salesman at a stereo store actually convince a person who lived 
in Pebble Beach that after spending $25,000 on his home stereo/theatre 
equipment, that if he only spent $2500 more on special speaker wire, and, 
get this, a $1000 dollar AC cord (silver conductors) between the power amp 
and the wall, that he would just be in heaven at the additional clarity, 
sound stage imaging, cleaner base, crystal clear highs, blah blah 
blah...that would come with just those two additional enhancements.

I hope none of you hams have fallen for these or similar outrageous sales 
pitches....but I digress...Check out a really great website that deals in 
Radio broadcasting, and other technical RF, AF topics.  see

Lots of antenna, and transmission line stuff, and other tech topics...
And, do any of you know of a company that would build Romex cable with 
silver conductors?  What a money maker that would be!
