City Council meeting, on Tuesday, June 4, at 18:30PM, Marina City Hall, 211

Monterey DLIFLC Commandant, Colonel Kevin Rice will award Commandant's 
medals (coins) for excellence to a team of Radio Amateurs from the N6IJ 
Contest Station.

The Colonel and his Command Staff from the DLI (World's largest Military 
Foreign Language School) recently visited the site of the Powerhouse Central 
Coast Station, and now the team is directly involved in Homeland Defense 
Activities, in collaboration with Command Staff at the DLIFLC.  Radio 
amateurs interested in assisting with this Homeland Defense project, should 
directly contact team leader Pat Barthelow by email:  [email protected] for 
further information.

Radio Amateurs (for that matter, anyone..) in attendance will be able to 
speak a good word for amateur radio if they wish (up to 3 minutes) at the 
council meeting, during the Comments from the Floor session.  Please do, if 
you feel so inclined....
